Under the sponsorship of the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Geological Survey of Montenegro and the Montenegrin Geological Society are organizing
The 1st Congress of Geologists of Montenegro with International Participation, from 14th of May to 16th of May 2020. in Budva.
Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as the companies: “Rudnik uglja – Pljevlja”, “Uniprom Metali”, “Elektroprivreda Crne Gore” and other Montenegrin companies will support Congress organizing.
The congress has an international character with planned topics regarding fundamental and applied geology with the aim of knowledge improving, as well as the experiences exchange in different scientific disciplines, with particular emphasis on natural resources and their use in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. It is the year when the Geological Survey of Montenegro marks 75 years since its foundation when the Congress will be held. Precisely, The Congress is a place to summarize the work results of this state institution and to evaluate the state of geological profession and science in Montenegro and the region, as well as a way for solving the future challenges, especially with regard to geohazards, water resources, their usage and protection, climate changes, etc.
More detailed information regarding topics, application deadlines, abstract writing instructions, as well as application sheets will be provided in the 2nd announcement that will be prepared and sent very soon. You and your colleagues are invited to prepare abstracts that will be presented at Congress.
