2015-08-20 Implementaion of new project in the field of mineral economics and mineral policy - MINATURA2020.
 
After successfully implemented activities on the project SNAP-SEE, the Geological Survey of Montenegro, as a project partner and the representative of Montenegro, together with 23 partners from 18 countries, participates in the implementation of new projects in the field of mineral economics and mineral policy MINATURA2020. The project is implemented under the Horizon 2020 program for research and innovation (R&I) of the European Commission.
 
2015-05-28 Meeting about cooperation between the Geological Surveys of Western Balkan countries.
 
In the organization of the Geological Institute of Serbia, on 27th ofMay 2015, in the building of the Government of Serbia ( Nemanjina no. 11), a meeting was held with the delegations of EuroGeoSurveys (EGS) from Brussels, led by Secretary General Mr. Luka Demicheli and directors of geological institutes of Serbia, Croatia, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Srpska and Montenegro as well as representatives of the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia.

As representatives of the Geological Survey of Montenegro were Director Branko Zugic and Deputy Director Slobodan Radusinovic. Geological Institute of Serbia became a full member of the EEC the organization since March 2015. EGS is a non-profit organization based in Brussels, bringing together 37 national geological institutes and several regoionalnih institutes in Europe covering approximately 20 000 colleagues in geology. The aim of this meeting was to introduce the role of EGS on the European scale, primarily with the possibilities for cooperation. They talked about the need for cooperation between the Geological Surveys of Western Balkan countries.

2015-05-27 First meeting of EMODNet-Geology Adriatic group
 
In the organization of the Geological Survey of Italy, on 25th and 26th of May, the Institute for the Protection and Environmental Research of Italy (ISPRA) in Rome, the first meeting EMODNET-Geology Adriatic Group was held. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Geological Surveys of Adriatic countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Albania and Montenegro.

The aim of the meeting was to harmonize geological data within the work packages of the project EMODNET-Geology and consider the possibility of further comprehensive cooperation and ways of forming geological research networks and including other institutions that may be involved in marine geological research of the Adriatic.

On the occasion of 70 years since the establishment of the Geological Survey of Montenegro and the establishment of the state geological service in Montenegro, the Editorial Board of Geological Survey of Montenegro initiated the issuance of new publication of the Geological newsletter.

2014-12-08 Press on projects and international cooperation
* During 2013, cooperation with international scientific and other research institutions is achived. Namely, the Geological Survey of Montenegro established cooperation with several European geological research-scientific institutions, as well as with institutions in the region.

* In year 2013, cooperation is continued with EuroGeoSurveys (EGS), the Geological Survey of Austria, the Geological Survey of Serbia and Croatian Geological Survey, with whom memorandums of cooperation were signed.

* In year 2013, the experts from the Geological Survey participated at professional and scientific congresses, symposia and conferences, and worked on the implementation of multidisciplinary projects, where they had remarkable presentations and reports.

* In cooperation with institutions from the region and Europe, the project proposals have been prepared jointly, for support in financing through different programs (SEE, MED, IPA Adriatic, Horizon 2020). Highlights:
